Precipitation of Silver Acetate from a Saturated Solution

Description: The supernatant liquid over solid silver acetate is poured off, and divided in two portions. To one is added a strong solution of sodium acetate, to the other a strong solution of silver nitrate. Further precipitate forms in both cases.
