Description: Some basic principles of enzymology are studied using the enzyme glucose oxidase. The reactions are varied by temperature, enzyme concentration, substrate concentration and substrate specificity, and the type of substrate used. The reaction is monitored by appearance of a chromogenic substrate coupled to the glucose oxidase reaction.
