Ammonia with Copper(II) Nitrate

Here, copper(II) nitrate (Cu(NO3)2) is added to ammonia (NH3). The result is a pale blue precipitate, which is Cu(OH)2(s). The dark blue color is due to Cu(NH3)4 2+ .
