License Agreement, JCE Software

All JCE Software publications are licensed, not sold, by JCE Software for use under the terms of this license. JCE Software reserves any right not expressly granted to you. You own the CD-ROM on which the software is recorded, but JCE Software and its licensors retain ownership of the software itself. You are responsible for the installation, management, and operation of the software. You also must use your best efforts to prevent and protect its unauthorized use.

Individual or License (Single copy)

Each CD can be used on a single computer directly from the CD, along with locally installed portions of the CD that reside on that computer's hard drive. Use of any portion of the CD on two or more computers without purchase of multiple copies of the CD is strictly prohibited. Distribution of any portion of this CD, by any means, is strictly prohibited without written permission from the Editor of JCE Software. Requests for such distribution must be made in writing and will be considered on a case by case basis.

You may incorporate images and video clips from the CD into your own classroom presentations. Files containing these images and video may be copied onto media that contains the presentation. Such presentations may not be distributed outside your classroom or for any commercial purposes without written permission from JCE Software.

Local Area Network (LAN) License

A LAN license allows you place the CD-ROM in a networked CD-ROM drive or to copy the contents of the CD-ROM to the storage media of a single file server for access by a specified number (12 or 50, see the specification on your CD envelope) of users. A LAN license does not allow you to copy the contents of the CD-ROM, other than files that must be installed in order to access the software on the CD-ROM, to the hard drive of each of the networked computers or to the hard drives of an equal number of non-network computers. Individual licenses must be purchased for the use of the CD-ROM on each non-network computer. A LAN license does not allow you to copy the contents of the CD-ROM to a World Wide Web (WWW) server or allow you or your students to access the files via the Internet.

Wide Area Network (WAN) Licence

A WAN license allows you to copy the contents of the CD-ROM to the storage media of a single file server for access by a specified number of users for one year. This includes World Wide Web servers accessed via the Internet, so long access is limited to the specified number of users. A WAN license must be renewed annually. A WAN license does not allow you to copy the contents of the CD-ROM, other than files that must be installed in order to access the software on the CD-ROM, to the hard drive of any computer other than the file server.

Copyright Policy

This software and documentation is owned byJCE Softwareand its suppliers. The software and documentation are protected by United States Copyright and International Treaty provisions. You may not duplicate, reproduce, or transmit in any form or by any means the software or documentation except as set forth above in the Allowed Use section. All such copies must retain the same copyright notices that appear on or in the software and/or documentation. Commercial use or resale ofJCE Softwareis strictly prohibited. If you have questions regarding permission to use any of the materials in this issue, please contact the editor.

Limited Warranty and Limited Liability

If you discover physical defects in the materials distributed byJCE Software,the affected components will be replaced at no charge to you during a 60-day period from the date of issue. No claims can be allowed for issues lost as a result of insufficient notice of change of address. In no event willJCE Softwarebe liable for direct or indirect damage to the disk or written materials after the subscriber receives the material intact.
