As director of crystallography at UW-Madison, I am responsible for the management and operation of an X-ray laboratory equipped with two CCD state-of-the-art single-crystal diffractometers, one powder diffractomeer and an 11-computer cluster. I also teach practical sessions in a graduate-level crystallography course.
Other responsibilities include: student and user training and supervision; manuscript, manual and grant proposal preparation; laboratory webpage design and maintenance.
I am involved in collaborations with research groups within and outside of the university and the U.S.
