Rhombohedral centering is unique to the hexagonal family, with two additional lattice points along the body-diagonal. There are two conventions for assigning these additional lattice points called the obverse and reverse settings. This interactive display is in the obverse setting with the lattice points at (2/3, 1/3, 1/3) and (1/3, 2/3, 2/3). The reverse setting places the lattice points t (1/3, 2/3, 1/3) and (2/3, 1/3, 2/3). What would you think the reverse setting would look like?
