Interactive Solid State Chemistry is an on-line resource for students to learn concepts in solid state and materials chemistry created by the Fredrickson Research Group in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It draws on the shared visual language of comics and scientific illustration, as well as the opportunities for active learning that are opened by the interactive capabilities of web browsers. The eventual goal is that this resource will provide students with the experience needed to appreciate the solid state research literature and to participate in new research projects.

The development of this resource is supported by the National Science Foundation (through grants DMR-1809594 and DMR-2127349).
