The cubic lattice is the most symmetric Bravais lattice type with all lattice parameter lengths being equal and all lattice angles equaling 90 degrees. Each corner is a lattice point and each corner is shared between 8 different cells, so there is 1 unique lattice point per cell. Polonium is one of the only elements to crystalize in the primitive cubic cell due to the inefficient packing of this simple cubic system.
